BILL LEONARD, Founder & President

Bill Leonard, Founder and President of Wm. Leonard & Co., is a native of Atlanta and a Life Member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club. He is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors, recipient of the Board's Exclusive Phoenix Award and was the Board's fifth largest producer in office leasing in 2000 with over $50 million in volume. He has been active in commercial real estate since 1971 and is dedicated to the development of value-added services and lasting client relationships. In particular, with his vast experience, Bill brings a unique understanding to the lease negotiation process.

Bill's extensive experience, knowledge of the real estate market and attention to detail make him one of the most respected negotiators in the local real estate community. His clients are primarily high-growth technology companies.

Bill has been involved in various aspects of commercial real estate, beginning as an officer of two national banks, where he was responsible for financing numerous commercial and multi-family residential projects in Atlanta and the Southeast. He later became Financial Vice President of a local real estate development firm active in the development of commercial and multi-family projects.

In 1975, Bill formed Wm. Leonard & Co. to provide real estate consulting and brokerage services to financial institutions, primarily banks and real estate investment trusts. In the early 80s, Bill identified a void in the commercial leasing market and established Wm. Leonard & Co. as the first Atlanta real estate company to exclusively represent tenants in negotiating office leases.

Bill is actively involved in the Atlanta technology community and has served on the boards of the Technology Executives Roundtable and the Southeastern Software Association. In 2000, the Technology Association of Georgia honored Bill by making him the recipient of the "Leader of Influence Award" for his outstanding service to the area's technology community.  He has also been selected by the Atlanta Business Chronicle's "Who's Who in Technology" in 2002.

In addition, Bill takes a leadership role in the Christian business community.  He is the founder of the High Tech Prayer Breakfast; co-founder of the Real Estate Prayer Breakfast; co-founder of the Fellowship of Companies for Christ International.  Bill has also served as a director on a number of boards including Ambassadors for Christ International, The Fellowship of Companies for Christ, Crown Financial Ministries, and Camp Highland.  He presently serves on the Board of High Tech Ministries.

Bill graduated from The Lovett School and received his B.A. degree in Economics & Business Administration from Furman University.
